Political Party

The project of "political party" carried out Research-Intellectual Club "Dialogue of Generations" by Electoral Systems Development, Reforms and Training Center funded.

The project focused on the region of the youth wings of political parties for election-related procedures to increase the knowledge and skills necessary to work with voters.

The project lasted for 7 months and the target group was the youth wing of political parties and independent political parties and youth. 6 political parties involved in the project were: Labour Party, Free Georgia, the political union "Georgian Dream-Democratic Georgia", National Forum, the United National Movement, the Republican Party. There were 6 participants who were not represent any political parties. The project involved a total of 30 young.

"Political party" is a simulation game in which the participants have created a simulation of the political parties. They determined their ideological platform, image, structure, strategy and the program. The project participants have created a simulation of the parliamentary elections, during the project they held a party congress, the meetings with the population, took part in televised debates and campaign meetings and so on.

During the project the participants established three simulation political parties: "New Generation", "The Liberal Party", "Social-Democratic Party." Each simulation political party consisted of 10 people. Each team was involved in all six of the youth wing of a political party or non-political entity. Simulation also formed CESCO, whose chairman was Nodar Jikia, the founder of Georgian Young Lawyer's Association.

During the project, meetings were held with invited guests, who were from a variety of individuals and talking to the participants on the following topics: "Electoral campaign", "electoral procedures", "Election Day", "Working with the electorate", workshop- found CEC members, observers and commission members.

The project included 4 TV debate. Debates held on the following topics: "The programs and promises," "Meet", "Participation in the elections", "pre-election debate."

Project carried out a simulation of elections. Three polling stations were open. The elections were held under the supervision of the simulation. As is typical stations opened at 07:00 am and closed at 20:00. 20:00 am to 23:00 pm to the simulation of the process of discussing the elections, the CESCO and it counted the votes. Based on the results of the simulation “The liberal Party “ won the elections and enter  in the parliament of majority (56.36% of the votes). The political party that has a majority in Parliament was declared the winner and the team took place prize.
